A Little Info About This Site...

 

This site was created for, about and dedicated to the magnificent and legendary actor, James Caan.

I have been a dedicated James Caan fan since 1971, when I was 7 years of age. The first James Caan film I saw was the beautiful and heart wrenching made for tv movie, Brian's Song. Even just the thought of that movie makes me sob to this day. The reason it continues to move me is that it hit SO close to home, not only because I am from Chicago but because my own father was dying from Pancreatic cancer at the same time. I recall my mother asking Dad if he wanted to go to Brian's (Piccolo) visitation (the funeral home was just minutes from our house). He wanted to, but just couldn't because he was so ill himself. Mr. Caan's portrayal of Brian Piccolo is beyond moving.

 

As I grew older, my love of James Caan's work grew. I've truly enjoyed following his amazing career. I will probably never have the opportunity to meet this talented man in person to thank him for being such a memorable part of my life, so I wanted to create a site that would convey my appreciation of him.
